The Attribute of the Believer

[9] And from his speech, transcended his might, regarding the attribute of the believer: "The believer his joy is apparent on his face, while his sorrow resides in his heart , the vastest thing in chest, and the lowest thing in soul, he hates elevation, and he detests reputation, long is his concern, distant is his grief, abundant is his silence, occupied is his time, grateful, patient, submerged in reflection , stingy with his friendship, easy of nature, gentle of disposition, his soul is firmer than the solid rock, and he is lower than the slave; these are the attributes of the Gnosis-knowing ones."

And from that is what the author of the Book of the Jewel narrated when his child asked him in his testament, so he said what is this its phrasing: O my master, remind me and increase for me of the Gnosis of the believer, for perhaps God, the Exalted, will make me enjoy survival and I will see from these descriptions his attributes.
