nor a perception of maturity for his guidance in the faith, and the training of the souls with piety for the Entirely Merciful, and the loss of the prayers, and the pursuit of the desires and the contentment with the babbling of the tongue for an hour of the time along with the absence of reflection and research into what they mention of what is an argument against them, not for them as they allege, [Nay, they will come to know. Then, nay, they will come to know] 1 Nay, by God, the religion is not with futility and the meanings are not with the breaking of an oath, they took their religion as a mockery and a play, where are they from
[5] the saying of our master, the Commander of the Faithful, transcended his might: "If I saw a youth from the youths of my Shiah not seeking understanding in his religion, I would have overcome him with this sword of mine," and God, Mighty and Majestic is He, said: [Then did you think that We created you uselessly and that to Us you would not be returned?] 2
[6] And our master al-Sadiq, transcended his might, said in some of his speech: "Be an adornment for us and do not be a disgrace upon us."
