it is the Day of Unveiling (Yawm al-Kashf) and the Hour of the Call, when our master Muhammad, His glory is magnificent, says: "This is your Lord, so recognize Him, and this is your Creator, so worship Him," like the Feast of Ghadir ('Eid al-Ghadir) and the Day of the Call—meaning the call of Abu al-Khattāb, peace be upon him.

As for his saying, peace be upon him: "O One who answers His Essence by His Essence," its meaning is: when He called out in pre-eternity (al-qidam), none answered His Essence except that which proceeds from His Essence. And whoever proceeds from His Essence is not other than Him—and that is the Light of the Essence, which is our master Muhammad, His glory is magnificent. He is the responding King during the call: "To whom belongs the sovereignty today?" and the One who says, God: "To God, the One, the Prevailing." 1 For this reason, our master Abu Shu'ayb, peace be upon him, said: "O One who answers His Essence by His Essence."
