its outward aspect is the Anza'i form and its inward aspect is the Semantic Reality (al-Ma'nawiyyah).

Likewise is our saying in the outward aspect: "In the name of God, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful" (Bismillah al-Rahman al-Rahim). The Majestic Word (Allah) is an allusion to the Meaning (al-Ma'na), His glory is magnificent; the Mim, majestic is His mention, from Bism is an allusion to the Name, His glory is magnificent; the Sin from Bism is an allusion to the Gate (al-Bab), peace be upon him; and the Ba' from Bism is an allusion to the Greatest Orphan (al-Yatim al-Akbar), peace be upon him. Al-Rahman al-Rahim is an allusion to al-Hasan and al-Husayn, His glory is magnificent, and they are two persons among the persons of our greatest master Muhammad, His glory is magnificent.

Rather, the path in that towards monotheism (al-tawhid) is that we make the Meaning One from all directions—neither characterized by a duration of time, nor entering into number—while the remaining three are a single concept and a single reality, which is the reality of the Name.
