is a human being like any other human, and that he is [merely] from among some of the manifestations of the Creator's power, and that they have no path to the Unseen, nor do they profess it. May God curse whoever holds their belief and walks [their pathways] 1 .

THE ORIGINATION/EMANATION OF THE NAME FROM THE MEANING

[8]On the authority of Ahmad ibn Ishaq al-Rifa'i, who said: Raised to the Scholar, His glory is magnificent, that he said to the Master, His glory is magnificent: "O our master, did the Meaning (al-Ma'na) invent the Name (al-Ism) from His light, or from the light of His light, or from the light of His Essence?"

So He, His glory is magnificent, said: "Neither from His light, nor from the light of His light, nor from the light of His Essence."

It was said to Him: "O our master, how is that? Clarify it for us. Was it connected to Him or [distinct] 2 from Him?"

Footnotes
