the mother, the wife, the brother, the paternal uncle, the paternal aunt, the maternal uncle, and the maternal aunt, [and] 1 seven veils of lineage, and I was wrapped in swaddling clothes as a mercy to them, yet I am the One whom nothing resembles."
So these are the veils that the people of purity perceived through purity, the people of turbidity perceived through turbidity, and the people of mixture perceived through mixture—and despite this, he said: "I am your Lord."
[And if] 2 the normative condition of human biology [were intrinsically bound] 3 to the Creator, majestic is his glory, in His manifestation and His interiority, he would not have said: "and the people of purity perceived him through purity, the people of turbidity through turbidity, and the people of mixture through mixture." Therefore, since it is firmly established that these veils are [void, and only bound] 4 to the people of mixture and their kind, it is mandatory to exalt the Creator far above them, while acknowledging that these veils bind them alone and persist solely for their turbid perceptions.
