[69]As our Master al-Sadiq, majestic is his glory, stated: "Islam is the gnostic recognition of the Guardian (al-Wali), Faith (al-Iman) is the recognition of the final goal (al-Ghayah), and Truth (al-Haqq) is the recognition of what is beyond the final goal. Whosoever recognizes that, it becomes permissible for them to speak of whatever they wish."

[70] He, majestic is his glory, also stated: "The Guardian is the form, the final goal is behind it, and the Truth is that which cannot be bounded or described except through the path of actions and its effects within us."

[71] And on the authority of al-Mufaddal ibn 'Umar, peace be upon him, who said: "The Guardian brings forth the divine power, and God brings it forth; [except that] 1 God brings forth whatever He wills, whereas the Guardian only brings forth what God wills. Furthermore, God creates a thing from nothing (la min shay'), while the Guardian transforms a thing into another thing 2 , and brings forth a thing from a preexisting thing."
