[61]Thus, the light of his sight is projected [onto] 1 that observed light, which prevents him from full comprehension; the light of the onlooker then reflects back upon him, so that he perceives nothing but his own likeness according to his capacity. This latent cause within him is the cosmic cause of the universe, and it is [that which is called: the principle of the cause inherent within the effect] 2 . This is a part of what it contains regarding the light of guidance, [and no one can transcend] 3 his designated degree."{ And the Almighty said: "And your Lord says, 'Call upon Me; I will respond to you.'"} 4
And our Master al-Sadiq, majestic is his glory, was [questioned] regarding that? He replied: "The denial of attributes is the exaltation of the Essence."
[62]And our Master al-Sadiq, majestic is his glory, was questioned regarding Bism (In the Name of)? He replied: "The Ba [of Bism is the gnostic recognition of the Orphan; so when you master the recognition of the Orphan, you arrive at the recognition of the Sin;
