and he was from the leaders of the village, and he had stood calling toward the teacher Mubarak ibn Hatim, and I had [debated him] ¹ , so he disclosed his secret to me and called me to the obedience of his mentioned Imam after he said to me: I am God and you are God, and there did not remain manifested to me, nor does there manifest to you, any good better than me [and from you] ² , and we are a Qiblah for every praying person, and our forms are a place and an attribute for the manifestation of the Creator through them and His utterance from them, and He is the present, the existing, while Sheikh Mūsā discusses with him [and entertains him with conversation for the sake of his worldly condition] ³ and hints to him of the secret that is with him, and he had associated with him for a long time while he knew that he was outside of his saying, [because he was among the opponents of Sheikh Jamie] ⁴ , and Sheikh Jamie, may God make his return good, had established Sheikh Mūsā [as a support upon his law] ⁵ and he had commended him to cut off the study with them,
