They believe that 'Ali is a human being just like their own congregational leader—may the curse of God be upon all of them.

Furthermore, they claim: "God did not create anyone prior to these believers, the Luminous Realm (al-'Alam al-Nurani) is personified within us, and the Microcosm (al-'Alam al-Saghir) is merely that which has [diminished] 1 in gnostic recognition, and no [luminous] 2 personage was ever created except within a human body, and that the pure one among them is he whose belief has been validated by this pointing—asserting that this holy self does not indwell a human unless the Imam speaks through him.

Thus, these people have established that they have rendered the Cause of Existence a body like any other body; they have disbelieved and committed association. They are just as Abu Sa'id Maymun, may God the Exalted sanctify his soul, said [to Abu Dhuhaybah, may God curse him] 3 : "And you [claim / narrate]4 : 'Indeed, He cannot be seen,' yet then you say: 'Indeed, He is you'?"
