and the matters of legal permissibility and prohibition (al-tahlil wa-al-tahrim) that they believe in—the ink of this book would not suffice.
[49]And it is narrated from the Master al-Sadiq, majestic is his glory, that he said: "The magnitude of the Lordship of the Commander of the Faithful is such that He knows what is in the [high] 1 heavens, what is between them, what is above them, and what is beneath the soil. With Him is the knowledge of the Hour, He sends down the rain, and He knows what is in the wombs. From Him is the [sending forth] 2 of the prophets and the messengers and the creation of humanity, and unto Him [they shall be gathered] 3 . He is the Pre-existent Lord, and upon whoever deviates from Him is the curse of God."
