As for the eternal Word, which was His very first utterance: "God witnesses that there is no god but He."
When speech flowed, the letters were established, and we came to require names and the identification of created beings, generated entities, and existents. Consequently, He assigned to everything He created a name that corresponds to its essence, and He named the entirety of creation, [that which is generated] 1 , that which exists, that which is originated, and that which is created and that which endures by the endurance of His kingdom, the heaven, the earth, what is seen, and what is unseen, [by a name] 2 succeeding the names of His Essence, His self, His Veil, His Gate, His holy world, and all that He multiplied and created, according to the statement of the Exalted: "{And He taught Adam the names - all of them. Then He showed them to the angels and said, 'Inform Me of the names of these, if you are truthful.' They said, 'Exalted are You; we have no knowledge except what You have taught us. Indeed, it is You who is the Knowing, the Wise.'
