[And the Gate] 1 that was opened wide From the Abode of the Ultimates.
The "Gate that was opened wide" is Salman, peace be upon him, and the "Abode of the Ultimates" is [the Mim] 2 , majestic is his glory.
[42]This matches his statement, majestic is his glory: "I am the City of Knowledge, and 'Ali is its Gate."
And Salman stands in relation to Muhammad just as Muhammad stands in relation to his Meaning (Ma'na). As for the "Abode," it is the Name, majestic is his glory, and the Builder is the Meaning, majestic is his glory.
Just as the Sheikh, may God be pleased with him, said:
The position of the Abode belongs to a Builder Who built the Foundation of Foundations.
The "Foundation of Foundations" is the Name, majestic is his glory; he is the Kingdom and its bedrock, upon whom the bonds of all things are tied, and to whom everything returns. Both the whole and the detail emerged from him and unto him they return.
