When the Meaning, His glory is magnificent, honored the Name by removing him and manifesting in the likeness of his form—because he is the [locus] 1 of His attributes and descriptions—the Name likewise honored the Gate by manifesting through him, because he is the locus of his attributes and descriptions. The Meaning, His glory is magnificent, never manifests except through His own Essence as the Anza' Batin. How then could He manifest in the likeness of the form of the Gate when the Gate is a created being? May God protect us from such an utterance and from acting upon it!

Thus, if the Meaning has barred that He [manifests through the Gate or intermixes with it] 2 , and has firmly established disbelief and polytheism upon whoever holds this belief—affirming instead that He, the Exalted, manifests in the likeness of the form of the Veil to honor it, just as the Name honors his Gate—then what would you say about a mortal man who eats food and drinks wine, yet claims that God incarnates within him and speaks through him? May God protect us from that and from acting upon it!
