three months, [and seventeen days] 1 were after the occultation of the master Ali al-Askari, His glory is magnificent. This constitutes the exemplary spirituality (al-ma'nawiyyah al-mithliyyah) that He manifested in this station while creation was veiled from witnessing Him—and He is the Meaning, majestic and exalted. His sanctuary is in Samarra (Surra-man-ra'a) within his house, alongside the sanctuary of the master Ali, His glory is magnificent and the Name remained manifest through two persons: our master the Mahdi, the Master of the Age, His glory is magnificent, and al-Sayyid Abu Shu'ayb Muhammad ibn Nusayr, peace be upon him.

If someone were to ask: "Why have you decreed that the Meaning, His glory is magnificent, manifests in the likeness of the form of the Name [or the Veil] , while you have already stated that the Name, His glory is magnificent, manifested through the function of the Gate (al-babiyyah) from Salman to al-Sayyid Abu Shu'ayb, peace be upon him?
