Within the sequence of manifestations, Muhammad ibn Nusayr, peace be upon him, is the Gate of God after whom no other gate is taken , and he was the Gate leading to the occultation of our master Abi Muhammad. Then the Gate occulted, and the Name remained as two persons: al-Hasan the Latter al-Askari and Muhammad ibn Nusayr, while the Meaning, majestic and exalted, was manifest in Essence in the likeness of the form of Ali al-Askari, His glory is magnificent. The generations sought Him and the tyrants of the earth pursued Him. He manifested the occultation on Monday, when five nights [had passed] 1 from the month of Jumada al-Akhirah in the year two hundred and fifty-four (254 AH) [of the Migration] 2 . The duration of this station was forty years: six years and five months of it were alongside the master Muhammad, His glory is magnificent, and thirty-three years and seven months were after the occultation of Muhammad, His glory is magnificent.
