This is something entirely impossible within the doctrine of Monotheism—that the Commander of the Faithful, His glory is magnificent, should be manifest in three persons at [time] 1 same. Rather, the Commander of the Faithful is the Anza' al-Batin, whom the inhabitants of the heavens and the earth bore witness to by this Name; He is the Prince of the Bees (Amir al-Nahl), an Essence standing by Himself, who can neither be divided [nor doubled] into a plurality.
Exactly as the author of The Book of Examination and Inquiry stated: "The questioner said: 'I ask you concerning the occultation and deep perception (al-basirah)?' The respondent replied: 'What do you desire [by deep perception]?' He said: 'That I may witness God just as He was witnessed by whoever recognized Him and declared His Unity.' The respondent said: 'This is not the recognition of deep perception; [rather] 2 , this is. the recognition of existence.' He said: 'Then regarding deep perception is my question?' He replied: 'That you know that the power belongs to Him and to none other.'
