Isolating the Meaning within the Lineage of the Imams

As for the assertion of the claimant, Rabiah, that the Lineage of the Imamate is essential and spiritual, this is absolute polytheism (al-ishrak) and fabrication itself. This stands in direct contradiction to what all the Monotheists (al-muwahhidah) have brought forth, and it was never brought forward by any of the predecessors of the past, nor by those who followed, and he possesses no latitude or proof for it except the statement of al-Jilli, may God sanctify his soul: "The manifestation of the Meaning within the Lineage of the Imamate is through an Anza' Batin (the hairline-receded and full-bodied one)," and this is something whose true meaning is not [commonly] comprehended.

And the statement of the Sheikh, may God sanctify him: "This is not recognized by the generality of the people of Monotheism." That is because when the Meaning, Mighty and Majestic, willed to manifest in a form other than the Anza'i form, He occulted al-Hasan, His glory is magnificent, and manifested in the likeness of his form before the people of the temperament (ahl al-mizaj).
