As for the doubling of the testimony for Muhammad—may his glory be exalted—with the Messengership:
The first is from the Meaning: "And God bears witness that you are indeed the Messenger." The second is the testimony of the believers upon the testimony of their Creator for him with the Messengership.
The doubling in "Hasten to prayer" (ḥayya ‘alā al-ṣalāh): it is a call for the people of the temperament (ahl al-mizāj) to the knowledge of the Veil and his outward persons (ashkhāṣihi al-ẓāhira) which are within the esoteric meaning of the legislated prayer, according to the mode of his manifestation in the world of temperament; and the doubling of the call is a seconding of His call to them towards Him in the world of shadow and phantom (‘ālam al-ẓill wa-l-shabaḥ).
The meaning of "Hasten to the best of deeds" (ḥayya ‘alā khayr al-‘amal): it is the call of the Veil to them towards the knowledge of the Meaning in the witnessing of the originated essence (muḥdath al-dhātiyya), because knowledge is a part of perfection.
