As for its definition: limits cannot encompass it, for it is a Divine Light that necessitates for souls the perfection of spiritual delights when it mingles with them. Through it, pure affirmation—free from all doubt—is attained. The believers within this light are of three levels:

A level whose faith is pure.

A level whose faith has been purified (refined).

A level whose faith has not yet been refined.

The First: The Great Luminous World, which is sanctified from the impurities of distress or turbidity.

The Second: The Small Spiritual World.

The Third: The Mingled Human World.

As for the levels of the Great Luminous World (al-‘Ālam al-Kabīr al-Nūrānī), they consist of five thousand degrees.
