perhaps there has been granted to me regarding them [the branches] an increase in unveiling (kashf) and a correspondence that does not contradict the Principle (al-Aṣl). I extracted these by knocking with the hand of sincerity upon the gates of Hidden Grace.
I entreat those of my masters among the Gnostics, and my brothers among the verified Believers who come across this, to correct what the eye has missed and to clarify where oversight has prevailed in my perspective—as an act of generosity, righteousness, and reform toward me. By the rope of my Master, the Truth, I seek refuge from deviating from the justice of His Path (sunna).
I beseech the grace of His aid in conveying His call, and I ask His forgiveness for oversight in vision and slips of the tongue. I seek His healing from the maladies of doubt, and from the occurrences of heedlessness and forgetfulness. Indeed, I seek guidance from Him toward Him, and I seek direction from Him to Him. I ask Him to bestow an intellect that protects against ignorance, and speech that flows with justice—for me and for all my brothers on the path of His gnosis.
