Thus, I addressed a Present Entity without speaking, And ocularly witnessed a Known Entity without physical sight.

[109] And the Sheikh Muhammad Farqul said in his treatise "The Lighthouse of Life" [Manar al-Hayat]: It was narrated from the Imam Al-Kazim, His glory is mighty, that he said:

"The Truth [Al-Haqq] only manifested among His servants as a mercy from Him, a bounty, a generosity, and out of compassion for them; since He knew that it is not within their capacity to remain steadfast if He were to manifest from the perspective of what He truly is. Therefore, He acted with subtle benevolence toward them just as He acted with subtle benevolence toward the people of light. For if He were to manifest with the fullness of His luminosity, He would have extinguished the lights, blinded the sights, and incinerated the entire cosmos—what is high within it, what is low, and what is between them. And that would not be permissible within wisdom, nor firmly established within justice; because the original, true Light cannot be comprehended, since It is the very Essence ['Ayn al-Dhat] from the perspective of its absolute detachment from relations and attributes."
