such as the manifestation in the existence of light, for it corresponds to the existence of the Mim; and such as the manifestation in the existence of radiance, for it corresponds to the existence of the Gate; and such as the manifestation in the existence of the shadow, for it corresponds to the existence of the Orphan. And upon that was every manifestation so much so that the manifestation in the existence of the human, it corresponds to the existence of the human. And the totalities of the onlookers toward the existence of that Essence are like the onlooker into waters and the mirror, for he sees the counterpart of the form of his existence, while the Essence is exalted above that because It appears to its viewer like the signet ring which imprints [impresses] but is not imprinted upon. And this is among some of the stations of the Attribute for whoever desires the attainment of gnosis [Al-Ma'rifah].

[91] And from the "Book of Absolute Detachment" [Kitab al-Tajrid] by Abd al-Mu'min al-Safi in the sixth chapter: "Indeed, the Master Muhammad is a light for the sciences, and the science for the worlds; and the Primordial [Al-Azal] is the One shining over him, his illuminator, the one manifesting through his likeness, the pointer to him, and the inviter to him..."
