Muhyiddin: It has been transmitted in the Hadith Qudsi: "My servant does not cease to draw near to Me through supererogatory works until I love him; and when I love him, I am his hearing with which he hears, his sight with which he sees, his tongue with which he speaks, his hand with which he strikes, and his foot with which he walks." This is because the actions of creation are like the body in relation to the spirit; just as the source of action is the spirit and it is not completed except through the body, similarly the Originator of action is the Truth, and it does not manifest except through creation.
And death is that I do not see other than Him, neither in other than the gathering (al-jam') nor in any form.
The Detailed Expositions (al-Tafasil): The one who is realized through the Truth (al-mutahaqqiq bi-al-Haqq) is he who witnesses Him—Exalted is He—in every individual entity without being restricted by it. Even if He is witnessed in everything that is bound by a name, an attribute, a consideration, an individuation, or a specific moment, He is neither confined by it nor restricted to it. For He is the Absolute-Restricted, and the Restricted-Absolute, transcendent above all restriction.
