then leave your soul all at once; do you not find that what your sight fell upon and struck your hearing has been inscribed in your imagination? Is that not a proof that your spirit encompasses this existence? And this is the secret which I point toward your remembering of it, and the intended meaning which I aim to alert you to. So return to your intellect and know that you are prepared for the discovery of what is behind the curtain of dense veils, and worthy of standing upon the realities of the ambiguous things that were not created except for your sake.

An Egyptian scholar: It is proven by induction that the spirits are from the most sacred light, and it is a light that Allah emanated by the Command in the beginning of creation, and divided it by His power into non-symmetrical parts even if they were of one type, and gathered them on one level in the world of genesis, and said to them: "Am I not your Lord?", they said: "Yes." Then He cast into them by blowing His spirit, so they recognized each other and differed; so those of them that recognized each other came together, and those of them that denied each other differed, as is known. So from the direction of the unification of the origin they are harmonious, and from the direction of the difference of the place of descent they are not harmonious.
