and the ray of its essential light shines upon all of its outward and inward senses, so all of it becomes illuminated by its light shining upon it, and that which is entrusted with it becomes in the position of the perceiver of all that is in existence according to the existing order.

The Second Sending into its First World:

And know, O my brother, that your spirit, which is from the most sacred world of spirits, is greater than what you see in the worlds; and the sun was not created glowing nor the moon radiant except to bring into existence for you a day in whose light you walk, and a night in whose darkness you rest, and so that they both ripen for you fruits from it in abundance.

Stop with your spirit with me a little, and bring your heart, then look in front of you, behind you, and beneath you, and keep silent while reflecting, then repeat the looking while contemplating: Is there anyone besides you and your Lord? Verily, if you looked with a detached looking, then trained your soul upon the correct looking, you would see the entire world serving you. Repeat the looking, O human, and circulate your glance in the seen objects and the heard objects,
