Satih the Ghassanid Soothsayer; 'Abd al-Masih; Habib the Carpenter; Rashid, the Diviner of al-Yamamah; Jibril, the Believer of the House of Pharaoh; and 'Aqir b. Salfakhd from the descendants of Judah, the son of Jacob—whom the Meaning (al-Ma'na) established as his likeness when He displayed Nebuchadnezzar's execution of him, and he is Yahya, and He is the Meaning.

And among them were those who belonged to the era of Islam: al-Jahum b. al-Salil al-Hashimi; and Dhu al-Bijadayn (the Owner of the Two Garments)—so named because when he departed to meet the Messenger of Allah, his mother cut a coarse woolen garment (bijad) into two pieces: he wrapped himself with one as an upper cloak and used the other as a lower waist-wrap, and for that reason he was called Dhu al-Bijadayn; and Abu Lubabah al-Ansari, who was given his kunya after a daughter of his named Lubabah al-Ansariyyah—and he is Hayyan, who is Kinanah b. Husayn, and he was a close peer to Hamzah b. 'Abd al-Muttalib, and the Messenger of Allah established brotherhood between him and 'Abbad b. Nadlah al-Ansari; and Kaysan; Sufyan al-Thawri; Buhlul the Mad; 'Ilyan the Mad; and Tarkan the Mad.
