and that is the saying of Allah, the Exalted: {The believers are only those who, when Allah is mentioned, their hearts tremble} 1 .
To the True Merciful is the attribution of every servant, Through the manifestation of His beautiful attributes upon him. And what is kept for him in the Unseen is known from Him
By seeing what his Master possesses in his regard.
The beautiful attribution (al-nisbah al-husna) is the opposite of the evil one; and the beautiful outcome (al-'aqibah al-husna) is looking upon Allah, Mighty and Majestic; and the Most Beautiful Names are the ninety-nine names of Allah; and His beautiful attributes, the Exalted, are like mercy, justice, pardon, and benevolence stemming from the Merciful, the Just, the Pardoner, and others—meaning that the attribution of the servant to Allah, the Exalted, and his proximity to Him is measured by what manifests upon him of His beautiful attributes, so that the polished mirror of his clear innermost secret (sarirah) reflects what shines upon it of the Divine Light.
