And from al-Risalah al-Misriyyah: The Master, the Mim, is neither necessary nor possible, but he is a attribute from the four attributes, neither creating for the being of his essence, nor created like the creation of origination, for if he were necessary he would be existing from himself, for himself, by himself, without needing an originator that originated him, and if he were possible he would not have the right to create since he is a person established by himself, and he is the attribute of Allah needing an attribute, and His attribute is the Gate.

Sheikh Sulayman Ahmad said in explaining the Diwan of al-Makrun: So the two contradictories are the two mutually exclusive matters by essence, such that their coexistence is impossible in any way, like affirmation and negation; for if affirmation is realized between two things, negation is negated, and vice versa. And opposites are like fire and water, light and darkness, life and death. The difference between opposition and contradiction is that the two contradictories: do not coexist and do not disappear, meaning they are not both missing, like existence and non-existence. While the two contraries: do not coexist but they do disappear, like blackness and whiteness.
