"And Shaykh Ya'qub al-Hasan stated in his book Tadhkirat al-Hayat al-Ruhiyyah [The Memorial of Spiritual Life]— Allah sanctified his soul: 'I do not consider it an error to assert that the reformist philosophers belong to the ranks of those prophets whose narratives Allah did not recount in His Dear Book, in accordance with the statement of the Exalted to His Prophet—upon him be peace and blessings—after mentioning the most prominent prophets: {Messengers We have mentioned unto thee before and messengers We have not mentioned unto thee; and Allah spoke directly unto Moses; Messengers of good cheer and of warning, in order that mankind might have no argument against Allah after the messengers. And Allah is Ever-Mighty, Wise} ¹ .'
