[51] And it came in the Spiritual Memoir from the teachings of Hermes, His glory is mighty: Indeed, the great divine realities are hidden under the veil of the secret, and there is no disclosure for complete knowledge except to him who has passed through the trials that we have passed through. Indeed, it is of the duty that reality be measured according to the extent of the intellects' reach, so it is not permissible to reveal it to the weak lest they become infatuated, nor to the wicked lest they arm themselves for evil. Indeed, the secret teaching is what the religions of all ancient nations and peoples were founded upon, and their remnants are enfolded within their religious books, and upon their belief that Allah loved to be worshipped in secret.
