slaughter, ride, and use as a means of seeking proximity unto Allah the Exalted.'
[197] And it is narrated from him as well that he stated: 'Verily, Allah has penalized the disbeliever—by virtue of his absolute denial, rejection, and immediate disbelief—with sensory torment within every single form that departs from the human archetype, including everything that creeps, crawls, is slaughtered, killed, subjugated, or ridden, as well as all creeping vermin [al-hawamm]. Therefore, everything that is eaten constitutes a re-embodiment [Naskh], whereas everything that is not eaten constitutes a beastly transfiguration [Maskh]. This operates as absolute justice proceeding from Allah the Exalted, and Allah—Glorified be He—stated: “And We will surely make them taste of the closer punishment before the greater punishment that perhaps they may return.”.
Thus, the closer punishment (al-'adhab al-adna) continuously passes over the disbelieving souls while they are trapped within the inverted bodies of beastly transfiguration.'
