Thus, He veiled him from his companion: He veiled him by means of that sin from his companion; and 'his companion' here designates the Lord of the Summoning and the assembly of the shadows [Rabb al-Da'wah wa-al-Andiyah al-Zhalliyyah].
And from this first veil—He fashioned: meaning, from the primal sin, which was generated from the lapse of the believers: meaning, from the fiery mixture [marij] of their transgression—the fire of prideful arrogance [nar al-anfah] and intellectual objection—Iblis, the whispering, retreating tempter: who was ontologically consolidated out of the sins of hesitation, wherein the spirits paused and withheld their immediate compliance during the primordial Summoning within the World of Shadows. And since the textual indication demonstrates with absolute clarity [bi-idah] that the first veil is the sin itself—which is the fire of prideful arrogance and intellectual objection against the divine Summoning—the entity fashioned from it and actualized by it is none other than its dense corporeal expression [jissuha], which is the expected Iblis, standing as a coordinate construct back to the first veil.
