Allah the Exalted stated: {Thus [it will be], and We will wed them to fair women with large, [beautiful] eyes} 1 . In its esoteric interiority [batinan], He expresses via the term 'wedding' (al-tazwij) the spiritual conjunction [muqaranah] of the luminous, pearlescent stars within the sacred celestial horizon.
And Quss ibn Sa'idah, titled the Sage of Najran [Saqf Najran], proclaimed:
And though we are bound to this vessel of dust
Our souls remain balanced and uniform within the World of Light...
And Thou didst not manifest to test it; rather
It beheld its own essence via Gnosis within the World of Intellect.
And Thou didst not accept a permanent dwelling within this lower world, choosing instead
The Reality of the Formed Ideal [al-Mamthul], which transcends all baseline representation...
