[147] And Aristotle—may his glory be mighty—said: 'Verily, it is the entelechy [tamam / perfection] of a natural organic body which potentially possesses life.' And scholars strike it as a parable for the existence of the Creator—the Most High—within the universe, signaling His absolute manifestation alongside His transcendence above spatial confinement."
[148] And from the Book of the Guardians' Chronicles [Kitab Akhbar al-Mawali], our Master, the Commander of the Faithful [Imam Ali]—His glory is mighty—said: 'The soul is a subtle essence [latifah] among the subtle creations of its Creator—Jalal wa-'Ala. He brought it forth from His sovereign realm and housed it within His sovereign realm. He established a designated portion for you in His custody, and He established a designated portion for Himself in your custody.
That which is yours in His custody is your allocated sustenance [al-rizq], and that which is His in your custody is the life-force [al-hayat]. Therefore, once you have fully extracted and consumed all that is yours in His custody, He fully reclaims all that is His in your custody.'
