Thus it is said in the "Book of Degrees and Stations", it said: "Do the believers have a station greater than the station of the sun?", so he said: "As for what faces the people of the earth, no, and as for what faces the highness, yes; higher than it is its Originator; for if the radiance of the light of the Divinity [al-Lāhūt] had manifested to it in its perfection, it would have burned it, and it would have melted just as lead melts, and likewise the sun, if it had manifested to those below it among whom it brought into being, it would have been in that station and state likewise."

So he answered: "Indeed, the sun is not perceived, and likewise the people of the stations are not perceived." And he said: "If the radiance of a single light from those who settle in the kingdom [al-Malakūt] had manifested, it would have blinded the sights of all the people of the earth."

For if this is his saying regarding his creation, how is it not permissible to deem the Meaning [al-Ma‘nā] transcendent above names, attributes, and visible forms by which He mimicked the people of the earths and the heavens?.
