I do not speak of things out of mere ambiguity, but I believe that God and the Angels are part of the 'Unseen' (Ghayb), and it is not permissible for us to describe them except as God has described them.

Furthermore, if reincarnation were true, would a son become a father? Or a mother become a wife? This is absolutely impermissible; I reject it and do not agree with anyone on this point. Also, one might ask: where does this vast number of people come from? Why has this population increase occurred, and how? What is the answer to that?

As for the disparity in creation—regarding height or shortness, understanding or ignorance, wealth or poverty—these are matters whose ultimate return is to God. However, the poet Sheikh Muhammad Hamdan al-Khayr—may God sanctify his soul—said:

'That is nothing but the result of a past birth,

Wherein one did evil, so this birth became its due.'"

But Al-Khayr is only expressing his opinion and he is not infallible. Some might say that God tests this person with one thing and that person with another {to test you which of you is best in deed} and to know the patient. In any case, we will not agree on such matters. I have two specific questions: First, through reincarnation, could a mother return as a wife and vice versa?!
