Comment from one of the protesters (named "The Good Word").

A futile research—as the Commander of the Faithful, Sublime is His Praise, said: "A dark path, so do not tread it; a barren sea, so do not enter it; and a secret of Allah, so do not burden yourselves with it." Thus, this is a research in which there is no benefit, only disagreement and hardship. I do not agree with it nor do I support it, because the Infallibles turned away from it, and in that is sufficiency. Allah the Almighty said: {He who created death and life} 1 , and with that, the discussion is closed. (End of the protester's words).

My response to this comment:

The statement "A dark path, so do not tread it" was said by the Commander of the Faithful, Ali ibn Abi Talib—Sublime is His Praise—regarding Divine Decree and Predestination (Al-Qada' wa al-Qadar); he did not say it regarding reincarnation. Had he said it about reincarnation, his Hadiths would have explicitly forbidden us from delving into or discussing it.
