This points tentatively toward the doctrine of reincarnation. Furthermore, there is a report in the same source known as the "Story of the Saihani Dates." It is narrated that the Prophet Muhammad—Exalted is His Might—and the Commander of the Faithful, Ali ibn Abi Talib—Sublime is His Praise—entered a palm grove. The first palm tree cried out to the second concerning the Prophet and the Successor: "This is Adam and Abel." The second cried to the third: "This is Adam and Seth." The third to the fourth: "This is Jacob and Joseph." The fourth to the fifth: "This is Moses and Joshua." The fifth to the sixth: "This is Jesus and Simon." Finally, the sixth cried to the seventh: "This is Muhammad and Ali." This report also points toward reincarnation.

In a previous episode, it was mentioned that Pythagoras claimed to have been a soldier at Troy and even recognized his shield in a museum. It is also told that he once saved a dog because he recognized it as the soul of an acquaintance who had passed away.

I say that perhaps the reincarnation of the righteous is a kindness from God toward us and a source of guidance for us. Because of His immense mercy, He repeats them through reincarnation because they are the best teachers for the worst students. This is a form of Divine Providence toward us.
