And they are ordered from the lightest and most transparent to the heaviest and densest.

The Atmic body (Atma or the Spirit), which is the Divine Flame latent in man—the Monad or the Inner God.

The Illuminative body (The Buddhic body), which is a vehicle that carries the Spirit.

The Causal body (The Higher or Most Elevated Mental body), which is the Higher Self or the Ego of Individuality; it is that which returns to embodiment, according to Theosophy.

That higher trinity is called the Individuality (the Eternal Higher Self).

The Desire body (The Lower Mental body), the seat of desires; it is the lower (mortal) self or the Ego of Personality.

The Astral body (The Luminous body, the center of sensations, emotions, feelings, and lusts).

The Etheric body (Prana or life energy).

The Physical body (The material body or the corporeal body).

That lower quaternary is called the Personality (the mortal lower self). And if we scrutinize the linguistic derivation of the word Taqammus (reincarnation), we find that it is derived from the word Qamis (shirt).
