This is what we intended to say. May Allah grant success to us and to you; may my Lord protect us and protect you, and do not forget us in your righteous prayers.
"The Conclusion"
I praise Him, Glory be to Him, for making us believing Muslims, with the Holy Qur'an as a constitution, a methodology, and a belief. I send prayers and peace upon the Seal of the Prophets and Messengers, who saved us from dependency except upon Him, his Family, and his Companions, and peace be upon his Infallible Household, Their Might is magnified—and upon the proof of the intellect, for these are the paths of knowledge.
And thereafter: this is the conclusion of the inquiries, which I place as a card of apology to all readers. Whether the reader is among those who support the ideas of these inquiries or among those who denounce them, I direct my apology to him and ask for his excuse if he did not find within what he read all the arguments and evidence he relies upon to support his conviction. For I, the impoverished one, am not ashamed to say that these inquiries are the effort of one with little to give. And if his opinion is that I have not brought forth definitive truths, I say: the chapters came forth questioning, not dictating.
