inner thoughts, your secrets, and what your chests conceal. We have made the signs clear to you that you may understand. Verily,

Ali is your Creator, your Fashioner, and your Provider; He causes you to die and gives you life, then unto Him you shall be returned. Verily, Ali is your Witness, your Resurrector, your Gatherer, and your Questioner concerning what you used to do. Verily, Ali is not limited, nor described, nor characterized by any attribute; He neither begets nor is born, nor is there to Him any equivalent, nor has He taken a companion or a son. He has no partner, no peer, no likeness, and no equal.

nor a helper. Verily, Ali is the First with no beginning, and the Last with no end or limit; the Manifest through signs, and the Hidden through all beings. Verily, Ali is Allah, there is no god but He, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer.{ Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great.} ¹
