We change the world and We do not change; We appear similar to them while We are not likened [to anything]. We bring them into existence [from] Our essence in tribes, clans, lineages, and progenies, while We are greater than that and more sublime. The people of realization find Us through the Reality, and what We make appear similar to the people of temperament and those mingled with darkness is not obscured to Us, until they find from Us a hundred thousand persons in an instant, testifying that they are One that does not double into a second number.

And that is according to what We have made them carry of bounty, and what We have distinguished them with of acceptance. And he who feels pain, flees, drinks, and eats does not find that from Us; rather, [it is] he who is steadfast and intends Our purpose and has grown [in status] with Us. As for others, O Hubaba: the wretched find Us by description, testify against Us with weakness, and surrender Us to death; and that which is of great value from Us is belittled by them.

Indeed, We bring upon them that which dazzles them and whose value and importance are great, yet they testify of it that it belongs to their Lord in power, but that its doer is of the mortals. Thus, they claim that Allah has a partner, as they associated a predestined being with the act of the Capable, and a created being with the creation of the Creator. So in their perplexity, they wander blindly.
