Take what you have asked of Me. O Hubaba: If We did not make you carry its burden, neither you nor all the inhabitants of the worlds, upper and lower, would have been able to carry it; yes, by Allah, and if We did not strengthen them to look at it, they would not have been able to look at it and would have all perished from the radiance; but We make them carry according to the capacity." Then He handed the ring to her, and she took it in her hand and began to contemplate it and look at it intently; then she said: "I have submitted and I have completely submitted to the One Who originated the heavens and the earth, and to Him belongs whatever dwells in the night and the day, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing; unto Him the whole matter returns, and He is Capable of all things." I asked Your grandfather—as I claimed—and He is my Lord, to look at the ring when He stamped this pebble for me with it; He handed it to me, and it was this very ring, and behold, written upon it was: 'The Commander of the Faithful, Ali ibn Abi Talib.' Then I asked Your uncle—in my plea—and He is my master and my Lord, to look at the ring when He stamped this pebble for me with it; He handed it to me, and it was this very ring, and behold, written upon it was: Allah is the Protector of those who believe. al-Hasan ibn Ali.
