He said: "Indeed, beyond it are wildernesses, deserts, and creatures more obedient to us than what you have seen."Then He said to me: "Raise your head." So I raised my head, and I saw the gates of heaven had been opened, and behold, my Lord Ja'far, may His glory be magnified, was upon the Throne, and the angels were around Him, encircling [it]. So I fell prostrate, praising [Him], and I raised my head, and behold, I was with the group whom I had seen in the presence of my Lord, and behold, my Lord was as I had seen Him.

(Imam Ja'far informs al-Mufaddal regarding the metamorphosis (the ram))

[28] And on the authority of al-Mufaddal ibn Umar, peace be upon him, he said: I was with my Lord al-Sadiq, peace be upon him, in Kufa, and we passed through the market of the butchers, and behold, there was a ram being skinned, and its hide had fallen over its horns. I remained stunned, looking at it. My Lord said to me: "O Mufaddal, this is [one] of those who pray fifty-one rak'ahs." I said: "O my Lord, he prays fifty-one rak'ahs and his fate is to be here?" He said: "O Mufaddal, he used to pray them but did not know their inward [meaning]."
