Ali shows Jabir ibn Abd Allah al-Ansari Abel, Seth, Joseph, Joshua, Asaph, Simon, and Ali

[21] And among what was narrated by Jabir ibn Abd Allah al-Ansari, he said: Our Lord, the Commander of the Faithful, may His glory be magnified, said one day while I was sitting with Him: O Jabir, do you know Abel? I said: Yes, o my Lord, if You make him known to me. So He moved His head within His cloak, and behold, he was Abel. I prostrated, and He said to me after I had raised my head: O Jabir, do you know Seth? I said: Yes, o my Lord, if You make him known to me. So He moved His head within His cloak, and behold, he was Seth.

I prostrated, and He said to me after I had raised my head: O Jabir, do you know Joseph? I said: Yes, o my Lord, if You make him known to me. So He moved His head within His cloak, and behold, he was Joseph. I prostrated, then He said after I had raised my head: O Jabir, do you know Joshua? I said: Yes, o my Lord, if You make him known to me. So He moved His head within His cloak, and behold, he was Joshua. I prostrated, then He said to me after I had raised my head: O Jabir, do you know Asaph? I said: Yes, o my Lord, if You make him known to me. So He moved His head within His cloak, and behold, he was Asaph. I prostrated, then He said after I had raised my head: O Jabir, do you know Simon? I said: Yes, o my Lord, if You make him known to me.
