the Commander of the Faithful, looked while I was walking behind Him and looking towards a side of Him, and He said: O Jabir, what are you looking at? I said: O my Master, I am looking at these houses and ruins. He said: Look at them. So I looked, and behold, it was a land with no building in it and no ruin. I said: O my Lord, a dry desert without a ruin! He said: By My right over you, look. So I looked, and behold, they were hills and mountains of silver. I said: O my Lord, hills and mountains of silver! He said: By My right over you, look. So I looked, and behold, they were gardens, trees, and rivers. I said: O my Lord, gardens, rivers, and trees! He said: By My right over you, look.

So I looked, and behold, it was a green emerald. I said: O my Lord, a green emerald! He said: By My right over you, look. So I looked, and behold, it was a building as it had been. I said: O my Lord, You are Allah, Whom there is no god but You, You bring whatever You will (And the report ended).

So contemplate, O my brother and my master, truly, may Allah grant you success in His obedience and inspire you with the clearest paths of His guidance, and keep you away from the paths of His disobedience; indeed, He is Capable of what He wills; this is the dazzling power and the manifest miracle from the Subduing, High Essence.
