I said: 'O my Master, does he not see You and see us while we are in his council and with him?' He replied: 'O Ammar, you see them through Ali bin Abi Talib while he is with you, but they do not see you because Ali is not with them.' I said: 'O my Master, what is Your waiting for him and his warning?' He said: 'O Ammar, that is not for you [to decide], until I fulfill what I have decreed and carry out what I have intended for you and for those like you among the people of the Ranks (Ahl al-Maratib); and likewise, I shall punish some people and make an example of others when they deserve punishment and exemplary lessons from the people of doubt and denial; it is then that you shall see what your Master manifests of great power. So be cognizant of what I have revealed to you until it is said: 'Ammar has passed,' 'Ammar has been killed,' and 'Ammar has been martyred.'
As for the evidences I have shown you, narrate them and prepare [others] before that, and do not hide them." I said: "O my Master, and shall Ammar be killed?" He replied: "Just as al-Husayn shall be killed, and here he is with you." Suddenly, I saw al-Hasan and al-Husayn both with us, and we were looking at one another.
