[13] And his saying also: "I was walking with my Master al-Sadiq—mighty is his might—in some of the streets of Medina, when suddenly there was a man who had extended his hand toward the heaven while supplicating. My Master al-Sadiq—mighty is his might—said: 'O Mufaddal, do you see this wretched one? He worships the air; and if he were worthy of looking upon Allah, he would have seen Him.'"
[14] It has been narrated from the Master Muhammad—mighty is his might—that he said: "My Lord promised me that He would fight before me." This is the counterpart to what the Great Qur'an has articulated; He said, and the saying of the Almighty is: {Allah has written, "I will surely overcome, I and My messengers"} 1 and the saying of the Almighty: {Indeed, We will support Our messengers} 2 .
This is an announcement to all the worlds that Allah, the Eternal, the Pre-existent, the Most High, the Magnificent, is the one who supports His messengers by His Essence—through His manifestation, His existence, His witnessing, and His observation—in a visible form seen by everyone who beholds it, whether from the luminous world or the corporeal world. Each looks upon Him according to his capacity, the extent of his power, and his worthiness based on his nature. [It teaches] that He does not part from His messengers, and that He is existing just as His messengers are existing in this abode.
