For Allah (Lillah): [consists of] three letters, and they correspond to the Name of the Essence, Ali, which is the Name of Recognition due to the world's need for that; and He is the Judge with truth, and He is the best of deciders. Let not him who does not comprehend a word believe that the Name of Recognition is other than the Essence, for whenever he believes that, he has disbelieved and strayed far astray. That is because the root of the creed of the people of this path and the foundation of its matter is that the visible, manifest form—named Abel, Seth, Joseph, Joshua, Asaph, Simon Cephas, and the Commander of the Bees—is the Essence, the worshipped Meaning, who was not absent from His heaven by the witnessing of His earth, nor from His earth by the witnessing of His heaven. And all that we are describing in this chapter is with this description and this belief; and it is the root of the religion and the path of the monotheistic Gnostics. May Allah steadfastly establish us with the firm word in the worldly life and in the Hereafter, and may He not turn us away from it, by His favor and His mercy, and all the believers.
